SCARS is an independent, non-profit animal refuge that has provided temporary shelter and found new homes for abandoned, abused, stray and unwanted cats and dogs since 1979. It runs a no-kill (regulated non-euthanasia) policy and cares for more than 1,000 cats and dogs every year at its Sippy Creek Road site in Tanawha on the Sunshine Coast.

Where your donation goes: every animal that comes into SCARS is vet-checked, vaccinated, wormed, desexed, microchipped and given any medical treatment it needs before being rehomed. Your donation helps cover that care — food, shelter, veterinary bills and the day-to-day running of the refuge — for the cats and dogs waiting for their forever home.
